Þórsmörk Superjeep ramble

A private tour is ideal for families or groups of friends who simply are looking to have a great time together. Skip the part where you need to wait for a pick up and switch busses and jump right into the adventure with your own driver guide and vehicle. A luxury which if you are a bigger group is not even more expensive than joining a scheduled tour.

With a superjeep the ride itself becomes an adventure. These changed vehicles are destined to take you where no one else can go.

Your own driver guide and vehicle will pick you up at 9 am before we leave the city of Reykjavik and descend Heillisheiði plateau. After crossing the city of Hveragerði with its greenhouses we´ll take you along the south coast of Iceland, one of the country´s most scenic region. Along the way we stop at the famous Seljalandsfoss waterfall where you can walk behind the waterfall itself and through to the other side. This is the point where we turn away from the coast and drive into Iceland towards our destination: Þórsmörk.

In this course the real attraction is the way. You have to cross what seems to be countless rivers on the way there. On the way you may encounter people who have attempted such a river in to small cars and got stuck. Good thing you are in a Superjeep with an experienced and professional driver.

Once you reach your destination you can go for a hike in Þorsmörk, get up close with a glacier at Gígjökull ( depending on the season and time of year it can vary). In the canyon Stakkholtsgjá you can go for a hike as well but remember to bring good shoes.

On the way back you see Seljalandsfoss once again before reaching Reykjavik.
